Brian Sils is the senior research associate at NPC. In this role, he supports senior research staff on a variety of initiatives related to the essential role of biopharmaceuticals in the health care delivery system. He joined NPC in 2020.
Before coming to NPC, Mr. Sils worked in Tokyo as a pharmaceutical communications trainer at International Education Services, conducting communications seminars in pharmaceutical companies across Japan. Prior to living in Japan, he served as a health care consultant and senior analyst at the Advis Group outside of Chicago, Ill., where he was in charge of delivering high-quality financial, operational and feasibility analyses for health care providers. Previously, he spent time in the lab as a laboratory research technician at the University of Louisville Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology in Louisville, Ky.
Mr. Sils holds a Master of Public Policy from the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy and a Bachelor of Science in cell/molecular biology and history from Tulane University in New Orleans, La. He also has published several research papers and articles about global health, clinical trials and cell biology in Japan and the United States, in addition to serving as an editor for academic research in the biological and social sciences.
