Rayan Salih, PharmD

Rutgers-NPC 2023 - 2025 Health Policy & Communications Fellow

Rayan Salih, PharmD, recently graduated from the College of Pharmacy at Rosalind Franklin University (RFU) in North Chicago, Illinois. She moved to Illinois from Virginia where she completed her undergraduate degree at Virginia Tech.

She has been heavily involved in research since her first year at RFU with experience in literature review, case planning, student facilitating, recruitment, and manuscript writing. While pursuing her doctorate, Dr. Salih conducted research on metacognition, interprofessional learning and interdisciplinary graduate school curriculum. In addition to her research, she has served in several roles, including Policy Vice President for the American Pharmacist Association’s Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA-ASP), Student Director of the Illinois Pharmacy Association (IPhA), and Chair of Legislative, Membership Benefits, and Immigration for the Student National Pharmaceutical Association (SNPhA).

Over the course of her NPC-Rutgers fellowship, Dr. Salih will work to continue making a positive impact on the lives of patients and advocating for the profession of pharmacy by using her clinical and analytical knowledge to explore issues related to value assessment, evidence for decision-making and biopharmaceutical innovation.
