The Association for Value-Based Cancer Care (AVBCC) will host this invitation-only event in New York, NY to help stakeholders in the cancer care continuum maximize value by focusing on clinical, cost, and access issues.

Wednesday, October 22

  • 9:00 – 9:50 AM ET | Mr. Pratt will moderate a panel session titled “Is Most Favored Nation Drug Pricing in Our Future?” Ryan Long of Paragon Health Institute, Kelly Cleary of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, LLP, Kristie Gurley of Covington & Burling LLP, Philip Sclafani of PwC, and David Senior of Cencora will explore whether MFN — or other actions — will be prioritized in the Administration’s efforts to control drug cost. 
  • 1:30 – 2:20 PM ET | Mr. Pratt will speak on a panel on “Trade and Outlook,” where leading trade associations for the biotech and pharmaceutical industry meet to discuss the headwinds and tailwinds ahead for the future of innovation. William McGivney of McGivney Global Advisors will moderate the conversation between Michael, Melody Calkins of BIO, Hillary Cavanagh of PhRMA, and Erica Cischke of the Alliance for Regenerative Medicine.
  • 2:30 – 3:20 PM ET | Dr. Campbell will moderate a panel session on the approach to determining value as an alternative to the current “Gross to Net” rebate and FMV fees. Speakers include Sarah Emond of ICER, Antonio Ciaccia of 46brooklyn Research, Robert Popovian of Conquest Advisors, and Scott Ramsey of the Hutchinson Institute for Cancer Outcomes Research (HICOR) at Fred Hutch.

Thursday, October 23

  • 7:00 – 7:50 AM ET | Dr. O'Brien will lead a keynote leadership conversation with Seema Verma of Oracle Health and Life Sciences. The session will focus on closing the gap between clinical research and clinical care to help improve patient outcomes, Seema's experience as CMS Administrator 2017 to 2021, and the challenges healthcare professionals face on the front lines of the industry.
  • 8:00 – 8:50 AM ET | Dr. O'Brien will moderate a panel session on “Global Oncology Access: How Much Do We Really Know?” The conversation between Beth Hamilton of AstraZeneca and Michael Ryan of Koios Enterprises & Consulting will focus on how ex-U.S. health systems approach oncology drug approval, contracting and reimbursement and what it means for U.S. providers, payers and drug developers and the patients they serve.
