WORKSHOP: The Need for Speed: Navigating MFP, MFN, and Pricing Pressure with AI-Driven Scenario Planning
Speakers:
- Leigh Ann Bruhn, Partner, Access Infinity
- Jon Campbell, Chief Science Officer, National Pharmaceutical Council
Session Details
Session Details:
U.S. market access is entering a new era defined by unprecedented speed of change and pricing scrutiny. Policies like Maximum Fair Price (MFP) and Most-Favored Nation (MFN) provisions are reshaping the landscape, demanding that Value, Access, and Pricing leaders embrace proactive, data and analytics driven strategies.
This interactive workshop will explore how AI-enabled scenario planning is transforming decision-making. Through real-world analytical examples, workshop leaders will demonstrate how advanced forecasting models combine statistical rigor with machine learning (Large Language Model) to predict pricing, and stress-test strategies before policies fully materialize. The will examine a specific case study centered on a set of brands spanning across therapeutic areas, including oncology and autoimmune disease, and walk through how AI-powered analytics can:
- Integrate multiple data streams (HTA publications, clinical trial outcomes, economic indicators, competitive landscape, disease attributes) into actionable forecasting insights
- Model MFN-driven price floors and their ripple effects on U.S. contracting strategies
- Generate scenario comparisons that uncover hidden vulnerabilities and opportunities in portfolio planning.
Attendees will engage in facilitated small group exercises applying these frameworks to their own portfolios and developing rapid-response playbooks that support agile and informed decision-making.
