Alison Falb, JD, is Vice President of Policy and External Affairs at the National Pharmaceutical Council (NPC), which serves patients and society with policy-relevant research on the value of patient access to innovative medicines and the importance of scientific advancement. In this role, Ms. Falb works to bridge the communication, policy, and research portfolios of NPC through strategic communications and health policy activities. She brings public and private sector experience in drug pricing, reimbursement policy, and regulatory strategy to NPC's work to inform policy conversations with evidence.
Ms. Falb has held senior policy roles at the FDA and CMS. While at the FDA, she developed regulatory policy for biosimilars and generic drugs and worked on initiatives related to competition and access. At the CMS Innovation Center (CMMI), she led policy development and regulatory drafting for specialty care and episode-based payment models and contributed to drug pricing models.
Prior to joining NPC, Ms. Falb was a consultant at Applied Policy and Coral Health Advisors, where she led policy analysis and strategy development for life sciences companies, payers, providers, and trade associations on drug pricing, market access, and reimbursement. Her work included shaping organizational positions on IRA negotiation provisions and Medicare Part D redesign, developing regulatory and coverage strategies, and advising on value-based arrangements, PBM policy, and the 340B program.
Ms. Falb holds a Juris Doctorate from Fordham University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Brown University.
